9 month check up

Monday we went in for our 9 month check up. For the most part everything looks good. Maegan is 25 inches long and weighs 15.8 lbs and Little Bean Ella is at 12.13 and 24 inches. All in the 5% or under, but hey someone has make up the bottom right!?!
Developmentally we are right on track.

Maegan- She crawls and stands on everything (including her sister!), uses her pincer grasp, waves bye bye, does the sign of "all done" and makes all the babbling sounds she should. She loves to climb and get into everything! She is always on the go from the time she gets up to the time she goes to sleep she is moving!

Ella- She is starting to tolerate being on her tummy and push towards things she wants. I think she is sick of Maegan taking all the toys! No crawling yet, but the pedi is not concerned yet. She uses her pincer grasp and has gotten so much better about food. She does the sign for all done, claps, and waves. She is babbling like crazy. She is a very content baby that will sit and play as long as you let her.

Both of the girls are eating pretty good. We are on a 3 meal a day schedule with bottles in between. They love 'real' people food. Pancakes, toast and crackers with cream cheese are high on the list.

The girls first Christmas

Seeing Christmas through your child's eyes is one of the most amazing things. Even though the girls had no idea what was going on we all had a blast. They got the L&L kitchen and it is still a HUGE hit. Of course they liked the bows, paper, and RIBBON but were also pretty into tearing into the paper and playing with all their new stuff.

Our First Christmas Eve as a family of 4

Reading The Night Before Christmas

Getting ready for Christmas has always been my favorite part of the year, buying gifts, decorating the house and of course getting the tree!

We got the tree home and thought we were going to have to baby gate it to keep the girls away from it. Surprisingly they could have cared less! They both liked to look at when the lights were on and a few times Maegan went over to "see" it but never really got into anything.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes I know this is very very late.....but ya know stuff happens
Leading up to Thanksgiving this year someone on Facebook suggested that we post one thing a day we are thankful for. I liked the idea so I did it. I have SO many things to be thankful for it was hard to only put one thing a day. Above all else I am thankful that God has granted David and I the privilege to parents to such amazing little girls. Being parents to twins holds it own challenges, twice the diapers, feedings, food, crying! But also brings twice the love, kisses, hugs, smiles and cuddles. I would not trade this for anything in the world.

We had a great Thanksgiving the girls ate all people food for dinner that night! First time, and they loved everything.
